'Dua Lipa's Future Nostalgia Concert' at the Fiserv Forum marks my fifth concert attendance. Her show rivaled and often succeeded the legendary rock band "The Foo Fighters' concert I attended in 2018, also at the Fiserv Forum, and that is no small feat.
While my experience with concerts may be limited, my experience with entertainment is not. For starters, Dua Lipa had two headliners who put on exemplary shows themselves. This included musicians Caroline Polachek and Lolo Zouai. Caroline Polachek in particular stood out with her incredible cover of Shanai Twain's 'Breathless' and continued to flex her vocal range with a light show rhythmed to her falsettos.
'The elation of the crowd was more palpable than ever once Dua Lipa finally entered the stage and her set was nothing short of spectacular. Her music is premium grade pop and an absolute confection for the ears. It's catchy, relatable, and energetic- a delicious symphony of guitars, drums, and electronica. It sounds even better live as Dua Lipa's infectious pop beats pulsate and permeate ones core. Throw all that onto her effervescent pop vocals and you have an undeniable treat for the senses.
MY RATING: 4.5/5 STARS
