What's Happening at Brown Deer Library...

We've made it to November! Thank you to those who continue to brave the construction around the library. Here are the exciting programs happening at the library this week.

November 8th

Art Cart

This weeks art cart includes supplies to make wooden spoon scarecrows and handprint trees!

Preschool Storytime, 10:30-11am

Join us on Tuesday for some silly and fun stories, songs and activities! Registration is required so we can plan for crafts. This week we will be reading stories about imaginary creatures!

November 9

Minecraft "IRL" 5:30-

6:30pm

This month we will be having fun with Minecraft themed paper crafts! If you can't make it in person, a limited number of kits will be available on the following day.

November 10

Coloring, Conversation and Coffee, 11am-1pm

We provide the coloring sheets, colored pencils, and coffee. You provide the conversation. Come reconnect with people you maybe haven’t seen in a while especially after the last couple of years we’ve had. This is the relaxing time with friends you’ve been looking for.

Little Red Hen Bread Baking Club Kit

Who will help bake the bread? This month we will be baking 1 hour buttery rolls. Stop in early, these kits do not last long!

November 12

Kids Arts and Crafts Show, 10am-2pm

Kids and teens! Do you love making art, and want to make a little extra money for the holidays? We’re having our first-ever Library Art and Craft Show! There is no table fee, but you must fill out an application to have a space at the show. Applications are available at the Reference Desk. The library will also be holding a bake sale during the Art and Craft Show.

Ongoing

Cookbook Club

Don't forget to pick up this months Cookbook Club kit. November's spice is Caraway.

Community Food Drive

Our wonderful patrons donated so much last year, we thought we would try again this year. Throughout the month of November we will have a drop off bin for you to bring canned goods and hygiene products (new). Last year our donations weighed 200 pounds! What can we do this year?
