The film harkens back to Disney classics with its vibrant animation and infectious soundtrack, also rivaling even Pixar in terms of writing quality and overall ingenuity. Voice acting often gets overlooked but the cast of ‘Encanto’ delivers fantastic award worthy voice work.
Creator Lin Manuel Miranda is a force to be reckoned with as he is both an iconic storyteller and brilliant lyricist. He coupled with ‘Coco’s composer, Germaine Franco, craft sonically exciting and lyrically punchy songs.
'Encanto' is sure to join the pantheon of Disney Classics and may be evidence that Disney animation's Post 'Frozen' third golden age is not yet over.
