What's Happening at Brown Deer Public Library: November 7-13th

November 8

Preschool Storytime--10:30am, Mondays.

Join us for stories and songs! Every week we'll be sharing some fun books, singing songs, and doing fingerplays. There will also be a fun craft to take home. All participants over the age of 2 and the librarian running story-time must be masked, out of respect for those who are not yet vaccinated. Space is limited due to social distancing and registration is required. You can register for each week you wish to attend, beginning the week before, by calling our Reference desk at 414-357-0106.

Not able to be here in person? We will be uploading the story-time to our Facebook page each Tuesday at 10am so you can still join in the fun!

Autumn Lanterns: 5-5:30PM

In-Person or Available as Kit

Using fallen leaves or other autumn materials to decorate glass jars, we can create beautiful fall lanterns that bring a warm glow to the changing of the seasons.

November 9th

Art Cart

It's time to remember what we are thankful for! Included in this week's art cart bags are supplies to make a Thankfulness Wreath, a Thanksgiving dinner place card (or in this case a place Turkey), and a leaf turkey.

Origami Kits: Thanksgiving (Grab and Go kits for Tweens and Teens)

Now is your chance to learn the art of origami. It’s a perfect activity if you’re looking for something to keep your hands busy and your mind active. Each month will have a different focus and no prior knowledge is necessary. Each kit will contain the paper you need as well as a few different sets of instructions to make something fun!
