Menstrual Product Drive through May 18

Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret, was a popular novel with young readers in the 1970s. It’s known for its relatable portrayal of a young girl confronting early adolescent anxieties.

In celebration of the release of the movie version of the book, Marcus Theatres, Milwaukee County Federated Libraries, and United Way are holding a menstrual product drive.

Twenty-three percent of U.S. students struggle to afford menstrual hygiene products – we know these products can be costly to families and students.

You can help today by participating in our drive.

Cookbook Club

We provide the spice/seasoning and the recipe. This season we are exploring South America. Stop by the library, pick up a container and check it out like you would any other item. Keep everything inside and return the container within 7 days. In May we are making Locro de papa and the spice is Achiote Powder. As any true Ecuadorian can tell you, it doesn’t feel like a meal without starting with a delicious soup. T

his simple cheesy potato soup hails from the Andes mountains and is sure to put you in the mood for more.

Attraction Passes

Don't forget, passes to local area attractions such as Discovery World, the Domes and Boerner Botanical Gardens and more. Passes are available for check out at the desk. Items are first come, first served. Call the library at 414-357-0106 for more information or to see what passes are available.
